I'm totally bummed that they cancelled "Almost Human".  I really enjoyed the show.  It would ROCK if Syfy picked it up, but I can't see that happening (although they should have space now that "Being Human" is over and  "Warehouse 13" is on its final season).   It would be cool, though: "Almost Human", "Haven",  and "Defiance" (I haven't been able to get into "Helix".  I tried, I really did).  But enough about Syfy.  This is about Fox.

I haven't seen "Bones" since a little before Brennan and Booth got together.  It just didn't appeal to me after that.  I should really check it out, catch up at some point.  Maybe.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is pretty darn funny.  I don't watch it consistently, but it does crack me up.

All I can say about "Dads" is that I really like Seth Green - despite this show.  Okay.  I can say a little more.  I only watched the pilot.  But in that one half hour, I found stereotypical characters and felt that it was a bit racist.  I didn't like any of the characters and wanted the time I spent watching it back so I could do something more useful with it.  Maybe she show got better in later episodes, but I didn't even want to give it another chance.

My nerves can't handle "The Following", so a coworker keeps me up to do date on the death tally.  I'm always worried that the Ashmore boy will die - I don't know what it is about the Ashmore brothers, but I just like them both.  I don't like "Warehouse 13", but I worry about the Ashmore boy on there too.  The funny thing is, I can't really tell the twins apart, and I've never really tried.  As far as I know, the same Ashmore might be on both of these shows.  I have no idea, and I'm strangely amused at myself for my lack of initiative in working that out.

Ahhh, "Glee".  I could say so much about this, but I'll just leave it at this: I haven't loved the show in a while.  I feel that it's gotten a little lost.  And I can't stand Blaine.  It has nothing to do with the talented Darren Criss.  I would've liked to have seen Kurt as a young, single gay man in NYC dating and coming into his own.  I didn't like the way Blaine treated Kurt from the beginning and would've loved for him to have made Blaine realize that he deserved to be treated better.  They got me back when he and Blaine broke up, then lost me again when they got "engaged".  I'd hoped for the whole Glee in NYC thing, but what little I've seen, it's just not what I'd imagined.  But next season's the last one anyway, so I'll just focus on the fanfiction pairings I like and maybe catch an episode here and there.

""The Mindy Project" and "New Girl": not really a fan of either.  I couldn't get into "Rake", and I tried.  I really like Greg Kinnear, but his character was just so unlikeable.  I like to root for my main characters, and I couldn't with him.

I loved "Raising Hope", but it was time.  The show ended on an up note, making me feel sad when I watched the last episode but satisfied with how I left the Chance family and their Natesville neighbors.

I'm happy about "Sleepy Hollow", but I swear, it feels like it's been a good two, three years since I watched a new episode.  I hope the sophomore season is as fun and exciting as the first one.

It looks like I keep up with a lot more CBS shows than ABC or NBC right now, but... well, let me post the list, and then we'll discuss afterward:

The Amazing Race: Renewed
Bad Teacher: CANCELED
The Big Bang Theory: Renewed
Blue Bloods: Renewed
The Crazy Ones: CANCELED
Criminal Minds: Renewed

Elementary: Renewed

The Good Wife: Renewed
Hawaii Five-0: Renewed
Hostages: CANCELED

The Mentalist: Renewed
Mike & Molly: Renewed
The Millers: Renewed

NCIS: Renewed
NCIS: LA: Renewed
Person of Interest: Renewed
Survivor: Renewed
Two and a Half Men: Renewed

I catch "2 Broke Girls" and "Mike & Molly" every so often, but they've both been getting good ratings, so I wasn't really worried about them.  Same with "Big Bang".

"Bad Teacher" was okay, but it wasn't must watch for me.

"Blue Bloods" is okay.  They tend to suck me in, because they attach the commercials right after the "Hawaii 5-0" commercials, and I find that I want to know what's going to happen.  Besides, it's not really a hardship to keep the TV on CBS after "Hawaii 5-0".

"The Crazy Ones" is an example of a show where the network keeps shouting that it's a "hit!" until they cancel it at the end of the season, proving that they were just lying to try to improve ratings.  The show was okay, but I only caught it here and there.

I really enjoy "Criminal Minds", but I tend to watch the marathons on syndication.  I have to confess that the ones that feature Reid are  must-watch for me.  You want me to catch a new episode?  Give me a commercial that promises much Reid angst and possibly whumping, and I'll make sure my DVR is ready!

I think of "CSI" like "The Love Boat" back in the day.  I don't really watch it anymore, but I'm comforted knowing it's still on the air.  It's like that well-loved stuffed animal you've had for years and put on the shelf so it won't get damaged.  Just because you don't play with it anymore doesn't mean that you don't want it around.

I truly think that "Friends With Better Lives" could've become a hit with some patience.  It's much better than the mess that was the first few episodes of "Friends".  The thing is, shows like this take time to find an audience, especially after "Friends" was such a hit.  I saw the commercials and immediately passed it off as yet another poor "Friends" wannabe show.  Then a friend told me he liked it, so I checked it out, and I liked it too - and went On Demand to watch all of the episodes I'd missed.  Networks nowadays are really quick to write something off without giving it a little time to blossom.  "X Files" probably wouldn't even make it through an entire first season in 2014.  I know I was pretty much the only person watching it the first season; everyone else caught on to it during reruns that summer.

"Hawaii 5-0" - hooray!!!!  This past season was a mess.  I feel that they lost their way, tried to shoehorn it into something it wasn't instead of letting it grow organically.  But I think they're coming back around, and I'm looking forward to next season.  Of course I'm not going to be so quick to purchase the entire season on iTunes before it airs like I did this past season (#wasteofmoney).  I'm still in love with the core 4 and look forward to more from my favorite Ohana on television - and I hope for even more wonderful fanfiction.

I watched some of the first season of "The Mentalist" but my hand kept itching to smack the smirk off of Patrick Jane's face.  Even Cho's sturdy sexiness (wowza!!!) and curiosity about Van Pelt and Risbsy's relationship weren't enough to keep me going.  But I happened to catch an episode the other night where a much more humble Jane was hiding out after killing Red John, and I liked where the show was going.  I'm going to have to catch up, but I was intrigued and look forward to the possibilities.

"The Millers" and "Mom" are cute; I catch them every so often.

"NCIS" and "NCIS:LA" are two shows that I think I like more than I do.  I blame fanfiction for this.  I love McGee, but he's never really given that much to do, so I spend a lot of time reading awesome fanfic.  Then I get excited to check out an episode and realize, oh, wait.  That's right.  It contains way too much DiNozzo, with his smirking and obnoxiousness (those who like him will read 'boyish charm' here).  That Mark Harmon is still looking mighty fine, though.  And Pauley Perrette - forget that sometimes Abby can be a bit much (McGee fans will immediately think of episodes 513, 'Dog Tags' and 722, 'Borderland' - which, while they pissed me off, they did generate some AWESOME reactionary fanfic), the actress seems like such a spectacular person that I can't help but wish her success.  I'm not gonna lie: I love me some Deeks on "NCIS:LA".  Like I am with McGee and Reid, I'm all about episodes that specifically deal with him.

Oh - did anyone watch the potential "NCIS" spinoff with Scott Bakula?  I have the two episodes on my DVR but haven't watched them yet.  It looks like there isn't an African American among the team in New Orleans.  It seems to me that having a local agent of color would not only provide for interesting storylines (What does his/her family think of the chosen field?  What about that childhood best friend whose foot is a little on the wrong side of that legal line?), but it's a must for a show that takes place in such a predominantly black area.  I'm hoping I just missed seeing that character on the commercials.

"Person of Interest" is one of those shows that I wanted to watch, but it came on the same time as two other shows I preferred.  And then the first season was never On Demand, so I never had a chance to get attached.  And now that they killed off Carter and seem to have added Root and Shaw (played by Amy Acker, one of my least favorites of Joss Whedon's acting 'family' and Sarah Shahi, who annoyed me so much in her show "Fairly Legal" that I still shudder when I see her), I'm just gonna pass.  I still read fanfic from time to time, because I love the whole idea of Reese and Finch.

I watch "Two and a Half Men" every so often.  I love that Amber Tamblyn - I've been watching her since she was on "General Hospital" and love that her career is doing well.

Okay.  So it turns out that I don't watch many shows regularly on CBS either.  I just keep my toe in the water and catch most stuff as I see them.  Hmmm.  Still can't quite understand why I never have space on my DVR.

I got the CBS information here.

Turns out, I don't watch many NBC shows either.  How is it that I can never find enough time to catch up on all my shows if I don't really have that many I'm watching?

I tried to watch "About A Boy", but the first episode I saw had the guy bringing the kid to an adult party - even the dumbest adult in the world would know that kids and an alcohol-fueled party don't mix.  I was too disgusted to give it another try.

I liked "Believe".  I didn't love it, but I liked it, and I enjoyed watching it every week.  So I'm not fired up about its loss, but I am a little sad about it.

Go, "GRIMM"!!!  If you haven't seen it, go now, go immediately.  It's one of those shows that sneaks up on you.  The first season I kind of blew it off, because it was on around the same time as two other shows I wanted to watch.  Then that whole season happened to be On Demand while I was trying to clean the family room.  I ended up with a new addiction and a family room still filled with crap.  Now it's definitely must see TV.  Plus, I think I might now be a little in love with Portland, Oregon.  I wouldn't kick David Giuntoli out of my bed either.  Oh, and... never mind.  It looks like this show needs its own post at some point.

The little of "Growing Up Fisher" that I saw, I liked.  It just wasn't on at a convenient time, and I had all these other shows (or so I thought).

If you want to see for yourself, go here.

So, we now we know the upcoming status of the primetime shows on broadcast TV.  Being the television addict that I am, I have opinions (big surprise, right?):

Betrayal: CANCELED
Castle: Renewed
Dancing With the Stars: Renewed
The Goldbergs: Renewed

Scandal: Renewed
Shark Tank: Renewed
Suburgatory: CANCELED
Super Fun Night: CANCELED
The Taste: TBD
Trophy Wife: CANCELED

I didn't realize how little I watch ABC nowadays until I saw this list.

While I stopped watching "Castle" toward the beginning of the season, I'm happy for Nathan Fillion & Co. that it was renewed.

"Agents of SHIELD" has gotten so much better, and I'm for anything that gives Clark Gregg more time on TV.  Plus, I'm curious to see how much screentime Cobie Smuthers is going to have next season.  I like her and look forward to that.  I'm a little tired of Ward and his backstory; I have no problems if they want to either kill him off or make him part of the bad guys next season.  I'm really digging Triplett as an addition to the team and hope he makes it through tonight's season finale.  And of course I'm all about watching Ming-Na Wen kicking butt all over the place.

I've never been a big "Scandal" fan - I'm not really interested in politics.  That said, things seemed to take a seriously crazy turn toward the end of the season, and I found myself a little enthralled.  The show's renewal wasn't a big surprise; my getting into the show was (for me).

I don't watch "Dancing With the Stars" regularly unless I'm a fan of one of the stars (like Amber Riley last season).  However, I keep up with how things are going by watching my 'news programs' ("E! News", 'Access Hollywood', 'Entertainment Tonight'.... the hard-hitting shows, LoL)

I also like "Once Upon A Time", so it's nice to see that we'll have another season.
